Listen Up! Vermont, known as LUV, was the inaugural project of the Green Mountain Library Consortium. This project initially joined together with over 80 public and school libraries in Vermont to provide downloadable audio book service through OverDrive. Today there are 160 libraries in the state using the service.
Downloadable audiobooks and eBooks allow patrons to access a collection any time, and from anywhere, of titles chosen for the Consortium by a selection committee. LUV works with PCs, Mac’s and mobile devices. Currently the collection has approximately 49,350 titles (58,000 copies) in the constantly growing and changing collection. From April 30, 2024, to May 1, 2025, LUV patrons checked out 809,440 total digital items consisting of 259,590 eBooks and 506,992 audio books and 42,737 magazines from our collection.
